OBJECTIVES:

  • To promote the sport of barrel racing;
  • To school/train the young (green) horse and/or older horse;
  • Strive to keep costs minimal (i. e. travel/fees);
  • To prepare and condition the horse and rider for barrel racing competition.

Membership and Nomination forms are available at all scheduled barrel races.  You may download any of the documents listed below.  Annual dues are $15.00 per person if paid prior to or at the first scheduled event of the season.  After the first scheduled event, dues increase to $20.00 per person.  The BBRS’s membership year is from January 1 through December 31 of each year. Benefits and privileges shall be granted only after membership dues have been paid in full.  A membership number will be assigned to you by the secretary.

New members:  All new members (and old) should be familiar with the information listed below. The secretary will mail any of the documents below upon request.

NOTE:  Life time earnings of the horse being nominated are as of the date the horse is being nominated, not May 1.

In order for your horse to be eligible for year-end awards, it must be nominated.  The fee to nominate a horse(s) is $20.00 per horse. The Nomination form must be filled out regardless of whether or not you nominate your horse.  If you do not nominate your horse and you or your horse surpass the qualifications of the division you are competing in, you will be moved to the next higher division. Please read the Rules and Guidelines as well as the Bylaws. If you have further questions, please feel free to contact an officer.

Completed membership and/or nomination forms should be mailed to the Secretary/Treasurer:

SAFETY FIRST!
Please make the safety of your families, friends and animals a priority.

KNOW WHERE YOUR CHILDREN ARE AT ALL TIMES!

If you bring small children or visitors, please be sure they view activities from safe vantage points. Advise them to stay out of the arena, away from the arena entrances and warm-up areas

BE CONSIDERATE.

Congratulations if your horse is bomb proof! The majority of the horses at the BBRS are green. If your visitors/children want to play baseball, Frisbee, tag, etc. - drop them off at the park before you come.

SECURE YOUR PETS.

Don’t jeopardize the use of our arenas by letting your pets run loose. Keep all pets on a leash, secured to your vehicle or trailer at all times. Many of our barrel races are at private arenas. Landowners to do not appreciate strange pets terrorizing their livestock or getting into mischief.
